Asmita Dulla

Hey Mustangs! Let’s welcome our new staff member, Ms. Rico! This is her first year teaching at MHHS as an English teacher. Keep reading to know more about Ms. Rico!

What are your interests  and/or hobbies?

“I love being outside near the beach or mountains, dancing, and laughing!”

What are some things you like about MHHS?

“I love the area. I grew up here and appreciate the farmland and big open skies. It’s also a fun drive to nearby spots like the bay or the mountains.

I love the diversity in the population, and I think my English students are amazing!”

How has it been working at MHHS so far?

“Working at Mountain House has been full of surprises. I have really appreciated my colleagues, especially in the ELA department, and enjoy getting to know my students and helping them feel valuable, capable, and supported.”

What’s the best advice you’ve been given?

“The best advice I have ever been given to be true to yourself.”

What led you into doing your job, and how did you work for it?

“My mom was a kindergarten teacher and the older I got, the more I realized how much I enjoyed working with students and helping them grow. I changed my major from nursing to education and pursued my credential and Masters in Southern California, where I also worked as a high school teacher before I came to Mountain House.”

Who is your inspiration?

“I like strong women and people who aren’t afraid to cry.”
